USM Algier’s preparation for the crucial second-leg match against Nigeria’s Rivers United has reached the top gear as the captain of the team Zinedine Belaid is ready to play the game.
The skilful midfielder missed the first leg due to suspension and the team coach Juan Carlos Garrido has pin-pointed his absence as one of the reasons they lost the game to the Nigerian side.
Rivers United secured a narrow 1-0 win in the first leg and must do everything to protect the rampaging Algerian side who has been very good at home.
Belaid return is expected to compensate for the missing of Khaled who has been ruled out due to injury.
Meanwhile, the management of USM has opened the sales of tickets for the second leg game slated to be held this weekend in Algiers.
