Defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa demonstrated its title credentials on Thursday in the opening game of the match day 2 of group B with a 5-0 thrashing of Wadi Degla.
The South African team defeated Bayelsa Queens of Nigeria 2-1 in the opening game on Monday.
Goals from Leona Daweti and Kgadiete ensured that Sundown ended the first half with a 2-0 lead.
They continue their impressive display in the second half, dominating the proceedings against the Egyptian side.
Boitumelo hits a thunderous strike into the net from a free kick position in the 58th minute increasing the tally to 3-0.
Boitumelo completed her brace in the 64th minute before Bambanani netted the 5th goal 10 minutes later.
The result means that Sundowns ladies will remain on top of the table irrespective of the outcome of the game between Nigeria’s Bayelsa Queens and TP Mazembe of DR Congo.
