Nigeria’s Super Falcons defender Ashleigh Plumptre will continue this season under a new manager as Leicester City Women’s team named a new Coach.
Leicester City Football Club today announces a reorganization of its Women’s First Team operation, which includes the departure of Manager Lydia Bedford and Assistant Manager Nicola Williams.
Following discussions with the Board relative to his existing role, Willie Kirk will move from his position as Director of Football – Women and Girls, to take charge of the Women’s First Team squad permanently.
As First Team Manager, Willie will be supported by First Team Coach Steve Kirby and Technical Coach Emile Heskey.
LCFC Women with the Nigeria international in their lineup will return to WSL action when they host Arsenal at King Power Stadium on Sunday 6 November
