As Nigeria football sets for a new direction in a next couple of days for the NFF elective Congress that will usher in new leadership on Friday 30th of September 2022 in the Edo state capital Benin city. NFF presidential candidate Amanze Uchegbulam has reportedly pull out of the election, due to the court order given for the suspension of the NFF election.
Recall that on 15th of September 2022, a court order was given for the suspension of the NFF election by Hon. Justice Inyang Ekwo due to the demand by Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria) (PFAN) of an amendment to the NFF statutes 2010 for equal representation for all the five statutory bodies making up the Nigeria Football Federation in terms of voting rights and representation on the NFF Board, its Congress and Sub/Standing Committees.
Mazi Amanze Uchegbulam stated In a letter written to the elective congress that he his pulling out due to the court order given and he would be ready to participate again once the court order is been vacated or set aside.
