Nigeria’s Super Eagles and Cremonese of Italy forward Cyril Dessers has finally opened up on the reason he left the Dutch Eredivisie side Feyenoord despite having a successful loan spell with them.
Dessers spent two seasons ago with Feyenoord on loan from KRC Genk and he was instrumental in the team playing in the final of the European final.
Then the odd favour Feyenoord to get the Nigeria international only for Genk to agree with the newly promoted side in Italy Cremonese.
” There was a lump sum in my contract with Genk. It was never a question of just putting down that amount and I would have been owned by Feyenoord. It just wasn’t like that.
“That the club will probably have more budget later in the summer due to possible transfers. would have, that’s right.”
It has not all been that easy,’’, Dessers told Voetbalprimeur.
Dessers scored 21 goals in 47 matches for Feyenoord.
