The newly elected NFF president, Ibrahim Gusau has been receiving congratulatory messages ever since he emerged as the 40th President of the football body after last Friday’s election.
Gusau, former Zamfara FA Chairman and Chairmen of other 36 chairmen defeated his close opponent, ex-international, Peterside Idah with over a 30-vote margin has received nothing less than goodwill messages from football stakeholders and clubs in the Nigerian League.
One of the latest clubs to felicitate with the Football Don is NNL based side, Ekiti United through a press statement signed by its Team Manager, Yemi Adu and Media Officer, Gbenga Adeleye on Wednesday, 5th October.
According to the Club’s Chairman, Mrs Funke Babalola described Gusau’s emergence as the NFF president as a welcome development which will bring improvement of football in Nigeria.
Mrs. Babalola, while congratulating Gusau on behalf of the club, spoke highly of his vast experience in football administration and will help in piloting the affairs of the Federation.
“We have no doubt on your credibility and vast knowledge of the round robin game, we are sure that football under your watch in the country will not only witness a drastic change but take the game to an enviable height.”
