Former Watford goalkeeper Ben Foster has announced his retirement from football.
Recall The 39-year-old left Watford at the end of last season following the expiration of his contract and the club’s relegation from the Premier League.
Ben Foster enjoyed an impressive career that saw him make 536 appearances with five major trophies to his name, including two Premier League titles and three English League Cup titles.
The former Manchester United and West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper was not short on offers before his retirement and had several clubs, Newcastle were looking for a goalkeeper to back up Nick Pope after Martin Dubravka’s move to Manchester United.
