Nigeria’s Super Eagles forward Taiwo Awoniyi shows another superlative performance on Friday night’s game when Nottingham Forest faced Sheffield United.
Former Union Berlin striker made headlines last weekend when he came from the bench to score for Forest against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
Forest hosted the newly promoted Sheffield United at the City ground on Friday and it was Awoniyi who netted the opening goal in the 3rd minute through header.
Steve Cooper’s men laboured in the second half, Wood, whose loan move from Newcastle was made permanent in the summer, came up with the goods near the end when he headed home to secure a 2-1 win.
It ensured Forest won their first points of the season after defeat at Arsenal last week while the Blades have lost their opening two games on their return to the top flight after two seasons away.
