Ahead of the U17 Women’s World Cup in India, Flamingoes intensified their readiness with a warm-up game against Galatasaray
The team landed in Istanbul on Thursday before departing for Kocaeli where they have been observing their closed camping exercise.
They confronted Galatasaray ladies on Saturday in one of the warm-up games lined up for the team and they secured a 3-1 win.
Opeyemi Ajakaiye scored the opening goal for Nigeria before a brace from Etim Edidong sealed the game for the Flamingoes.
Ebru Topliv scored Galatasaray’s consolatory goal in the game.
Nigeria is placed in group B alongside Germany, Chile and New Zealand.
