Former Nigeria Player Ibrahim Babangida has died in a car accident.
Ibrahim Babangida who is the younger brother to former Super Eagles winger, Tijani Babangida was confirmed dead in a car accident that happened along Zaria Road on Thursday.
The unfortunate accident also involved the ex-Super Eagles brother, Tijani Babangida, his wife, son, and maid.
However, only the younger Babangida died in the auto accident, while others who were with him were taken to the hospital.
The late player was born on 1 August 1976 in Kaduna and played as a midfielder for Katsina United, Stationery Stores F.C., and Bank of the North in his home country and Dutch club. FC Volendam.
He represented the Nigeria national under-17 football team at the 1993 FIFA U-17 World Championship in Japan and was the World Champion.
