After missing out on the job at Desert Foxes of Algeria, the former coach of Nigeria’s Super Eagles Jose Peseiro is set to take over as the coach of the South Africa Premier League giant Kaizerchief.
Peseiro departed Nigeria after leading the Super Eagles to the final of the African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
He was a front-runner to take over as the coach of the Algerian national team but failed to reach an agreement with the country’s football federation.
According to the update coming from the camp of the Amakhosi, Peseiro seems to have resolved to work in South Africa.
“Jose Peseiro is a highly qualified coach who can do a good job at a big club like Chiefs.
He is interested in the job and coaching in the PSL is something that he has always thought about.
As the search for a new job is ongoing for him, Chiefs is one of the clubs that he has been recommended to.
There are interested clubs in the coach from Morocco and Egypt, but he would like to come to South Africa in his next move,” said a top source
