Nigeria’s Super Eagles forward Terem Moffi was the hero on Sunday afternoon in OGC Nice victory over Strasbourg.
The left-footed forward has had a slow start to life since the start of the 2023/2024 French Ligue One Season which led to his omission from the Super Eagles’ list of players that will face Sao Tome and Principe.
The list of players for the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifier was released on Sunday and Moffi was one of the biggest omissions from the team.
Nice played host to Strasbourg on Sunday and secured a 2-0 win with Moffi scoring the second goal in the 75th minute after hitting the crossbar with a ferocious shot in the 67th minute.
Youcef Attal had earlier in the game put the host ahead in the 47th minute but Moffi’s second goal sealed the game.
