Even though they secured a qualification ticket to the round of 16 in the Belgian cup, the manager of Genk Vrancken has said is not convinced with the performance of the team.
Nigeria’s Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu scored the only goal of the game on Wednesday night as Genk defeated Westerlo 1-0 in the round of 32 of the Belgian Cup.
While reacting to the outcome of the game through voetbalkrant, Vrancken said they have more rest days than Westerlo and they should have performed better.
“It was not due to fatigue because we have had more recuperation than Westerlo. There was especially not enough concentration and conviction.”
Onuachu scored the only goal of the game in the 13th minute and earned Genk a place in the round of 16.
