Erling Haaland’s meteoric rise in the Premier League has culminated in him being crowned the PFA Players’ Player of the Year. In a span of just 52 games, Haaland struck the back of the net 53 times, claiming championships in the Premier League, FA Cup, Champions League, and UEFA Super Cup. His feats include becoming the all-time top scorer in a Premier League season and seizing the top scorer title in the Champions League. His remarkable journey was further crowned with the prestigious PFA Player of the Year award.
Notably, Haaland’s triumph marks a rare accomplishment as he becomes the second player to secure the PFA Player of the Year award in his debut season in England, a feat previously achieved by Ruud van Nistelrooy.
In addition to Haaland’s feat, other outstanding players were also recognized. Bukayo Saka was honored as the Young Player of the Year for men, while Lauren James secured the same accolade for women. Furthermore, Chuba Akpom’s exceptional performance earned him the Championship Player of the Year title.
The PFA awards ceremony featured an electrifying performance by Davido, adding an extra layer of excitement to the event. The PFA WSL Team of the Year celebrated female football excellence, with standouts like Reiten, Daly, and Kerr being acknowledged.
Beyond these accolades, Rachel Daly emerged as the PFA Players’ Player of the Year for the women’s category.
