Nigeria youngster Kazeem Olaigbe has joined Belgian Jupiler League side Cercle Brugge on a 4-year deal.
The 20-year-old joins a club that finished eighth in the Belgian Pro League last season and brings an end to his four-year stint at Southampton.
Having started his youth career at Anderlecht, the Nigeria eligible made the move to England as a 16-year-old when he joined Saints in 2019.
Olaigbe became an important part of the Under-21s side and was involved in first-team matchday squads, including Southampton’s FA Cup victory over Swansea in January 2022.
He was nominated for the 2021-22 Premier League 2 Player of the Season award after a campaign that saw him score 12 times in 23 games for Dave Horseman’s B team.
