The manager of the Portuguese Primera Liga club FC Porto Sergio Concecaio has confirmed that Nigeria’s Super Eagles defender Zaidu Sanusi will be out of action for a few weeks.
The Nigerian International was subbed off in the UEFA Champions League game against Shakhtar Donetsk during the week and the coach has come out to give an update on him.
“Zaidu(Sanusi) is out and will be out for the next few weeks.
“It’s a muscle injury. Unfortunately, we have had some problems, like Marcano and Evanilson. We have solutions, and the injury doesn’t change the strategy or the plan.”
“We have other players who can fill the position, but of course, I always want everyone available”, he told Portugal news outlet Sapo.
It now means that Sanusi is likely to miss an international friendly game involving the Super Eagles and Saudi Arabia next month.
