Nigeria’s Super Eagles and Real Sociedad striker Sadiq Umar has spoken about his spectacular goal against Sevilla last weekend.
Sadiq made all the headlines on Sunday after he scored a trademark goal in a league match to end his 14-month drought.
“It is a very important goal for me, it is a special moment for me. I haven’t scored goals in a year and for me, it’s like a dream.
“ This goal is for the physios, the doctors, the technicians, and my teammates, all the people with whom I have worked day after day to recover from the injury. La Real is like a big family”, he said.
Sadiq joined Real Sociedad last summer from Almeria and sustained a career-threatening injury last season.
His recovery has brought sort of relief for the Spanish side as they are also campaigning in the UEFA Champions League.
