European champions, Italy will definitely not be at the World Cup this year but facing fierce rivals England will always promise fireworks at any stage.
Both Italy and England have had underwhelming performances in Group C of League A. The group was initially termed the “Group of Death” but incidentally Hungary currently seat on top of the group ahead of four-time World Cup winners Germany.
England coach, Gareth Southgate has more at stake because he has a World Cup to prepare for. As expected captain, Harry Kane will lead from the front but Ivan Toney will still wait for his England debut because he has been left out of tonight match-up.
Roberto Mancini wants to begin a new generation for the Italian national team with relatively young players. The duo of Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini have bade farewell to the national team thus opening a new era for the Azzurri. The Italians can still qualify for the finals of the Nations League and will hope to better their 2020/21 finish.
Although Italy and England lie third and fourth respectively, it will be tasty fixture because of the huge football rivalry between both teams.
