A draw was enough for the travelling Scots in Ukraine. In a game that had the promotion to the elite league as the prize, both teams knew what was at stake.
Che Adams would have put Scotland ahead in the 1st minute but his shot was deflected for a corner when the Ukrainian back-line was caught playing at the back.
Ukraine needed all 3 points on the night to confirm their promotion and they truly peppered the Scottish defence. Andriy Yarmolenko had a chance to put Ukraine ahead but he could only blast his shot over from a Mykhaylo Mudryk cross. There were more chances for Ukraine in the second half but they failed to hit the target.
The point makes Scotland group winners and gives them qualification into League A.
