A Utah Jazz team without stars, Donovan Mitchell, was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers, and former Defensive Player of the year, Ruby Gobert, was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The top performers in the game were Jordan Clarkson of the Utah Jazz and Damian Lilliard of the Portland Trail Blazers.
New starter and former sixth man of the year Jordan Clarkson posted 19 points, two rebounds and one assist in his 22 minutes of play and was 100% from the free throw line.
Damian Lilliard was another top performer of the game as he recorded 21 points, five rebounds and six assists in 24 minutes. He also had five turnovers and one block.
Portland Trail Blazers won the first quarter 27-21, then lost the next three quarters to the Utah Jazz, 33-27, 28-22 and 36-25, respectively.
