Former Defensive Player of the year, Gobert Ruby, debuted for the Wolves in the victory. He had five points, 12 rebounds and three assists.
Los Angeles Lakers had some significant absentees in the loss, such as; Anthony Edwards due to precautions, LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, and Dennis Shroder.
The All-Star 3-point Champion, Karl-Anthony Towns, is yet to play for the Minnesota Timberwolves in the preseason.
Anthony Edwards recorded 13 points, six rebounds and two assists. He played for 22 minutes and 31 seconds.
Without LeBron James, Thomas Bryant turned up with 18 points, seven rebounds and one assist.
The Lakers won the first quarter 27-24, the Wolves won the next two quarters, 28-16 and 36-21, while the Lakers won the last quarter 35-26 but still lost the game.
