It was a poor outing for Kwara United again at the Akure Township stadium as they suffered their second consecutive home defeat against Enyimba International in match day 14 of the league.
The Afonja Warriors lost their last home game against Shooting Stars 0-1 before securing an away draw last weekend.
Chijioke Mbaoma opened the scoring for the People’s Elephant in the 27th minute before Samad Kadiri equalized for the host in the 35th while Mbaoma completed his brace and sealed the game for Enyimba 1-2. The victory for the Aba Elephants took them to the 2nd position on the Group B table
In Ikenne, Remo Stars failed to end the unbeaten run of Bendel Insurance as they were held to a 1-1 draw.
Divine Nwanchkwu leveled the game for the Benin Arsenal in the 20th minute after Kwane Mawuna gave the host lead in the 16th minute. Insurance FC have now set a new unbeaten record from the start of the season, their 14 unbeaten run has overtaken the 13-game unbeaten run set by Enyimba in 2005
In Jos, Ibrahim Mustapha netted the only goal of the game in the 36th minute as Plateau United defeated Akwa United 1-0.
Former Champions Rangers International surrendered a 2-goal lead and allowed Niger Tornadoes to get away with a 2-2 draw at the Awka Township Stadium
Reuben Bala and Kenneth Igboke gave the Flying Antelope a 2-0 advantage in under 20 minutes but the Tornadoes came back stronger in the second half to get a draw with a brace from Munir Idris.
Rivers United was leading by a lone goal against Dalkada FC, through Alberta Kovar before unfavorable weather conditions allowed the centre referee to call off the game at the Adokiye Amiesimiaka Stadium in Port-Harcourt
