Head coach of Enugu Rangers Fidelis Illechukwu has revealed the reason they lost to Rivers United on Sunday.
The Flying Antelopes suffered a 2-0 defeat to the Pride of Rivers at the Adoke Amasiamaka Stadium in Port-Harcourt.
Alex Oyowah and Deputy Echeta scored both goals to condemn Rangers to a defeat.
The former MFM FC coach attributed the defeat to the error committed in the defense while speaking with journalists after the match
“We lost and it was a bad day for us, too many errors in the defense line.
They played better today and deserved to win but we need to go back home, all hope is not lost.
Rivers United is a continental team and they are a big team, so you use everything to play, you don’t rest against a big team because if you do, they will punish you and that’s just what happened today”, he said.
