Former Super Eagles midfielder Austin Jay Jay Okocha revealed what the Super Eagles must do to qualify for the next World Cup.
The Amavubi of Rwanda presently topped the group that has Nigeria and South Africa after both teams failed to produce a consistent performance in the first two rounds of games.
The former PSG player advised both countries to focus more on the games and ignore rivalry if they want to play at the next World Cup.
“We (Nigeria and South Africa) didn’t get off to a good start and I can say we are lucky that Bafana Bafana lost their second match.
I think we are focusing more on the South Africa-Nigeria rivalry instead of focusing on the qualifiers. It’s a big surprise that Rwanda topped the group”, he thinks.
“So, I think we (Nigeria and South Africa) need to change our mindset and focus on qualifying instead of us focus on our rivalry”, he stated.
