The Nigeria Football Federation has confirmed that the invited Super Eagles players will be released early by their clubs ahead of the 2023 African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
The head of communication of the NFF Demola Olajire during a brief chat with Guardian correspondent revealed that they’ve reached an agreement with the clubs and the players will be release on the 1st of January
He further dispelled the fabricated list flying around by saying the list is not yet out.
““The Super Eagles’ list is not yet out. I don’t know when, but the players will definitely be released as of January 1”, he said.
Nigeria will open their campaign in the competition on the 14th of January against Equatorial Guinea.
