Leicester City’s hope of remaining in the premier league survived a setback on Saturday as they suffered a 3-1 defeat to Manchester City.
Played at the Etihad Stadium, despite stealing the show, Nigeria forward Kelechi Iheanacho was able to put his mark on the game.
It was England International John Stone that netted the opening goal in the 5th before Erlin Haaland equalised from the penalty spot after Nigeria midfielder Wilfred Ndidi committed a foul in the box.
Haaland scored his second goal and made the game 3-0 just before the half.
Iheanacho was introduced into the game earlier in the game and he was able to halve the deficit in the 75th minute before the Zambian international Patson Daka replaced Ndidi in the 87th minute as the game ended 3-1.
