To make him focus on the task at hand, Senegal Football Federation has extended the contract of the Teranga Lions coach Aliou Cisse.
The former defender was first appointed in 2015 and he led them to the 2018 World Cup in Russia where they crashed out in the group stage.
His only silverware with the team was the 2021 African Cup of Nations title in Cameroon.
Cisse was given a 2-year deal, that is he will be in charge of the team until 2024.
Cisse’s Salary has also been increased from 15 million FCFA $23000 to 30 Million FCFA after tax. ($46000)
Senegal Federation pays 15 million FCFA to Cissé, as a special fund in addition to the monthly 15 million FCFA paid to him by the State of Senegal
