The boss of the Italian Serie A Club Atalanta Gian Piero Gasperini has thrown his weight behind Nigeria’s Super Eagles attacker Ademola Lookman.
The former Fulham winger was booked on Sunday for his trademark celebration after scoring the first goal against Udinese.
Lookman was replaced later in the game and Atalanta conceded 2 goals after his substitution as the game ended 2-2.
Gasperini said the Nigeria star is not a player that causes trouble on the field of play.
” it was misinterpreted, he is not a lad who tried to stir up trouble”, Gasperini said.
Even though they are yet to lose a game, Atalanta has dropped to the second position on the log.
