After spending most of the season in the treatment room, Super Eagles of Nigeria forward Sadiq Umar hope to be back for his Spanish La Liga side Real Sociedad stronger.
Umar joined the San Sebastian club last summer for almost €20 million after a successful outing with UD Almeria.
He was ruled out the season in September after injuring his ACL but he has started his rehabilitation.
Former Rangers of Scotland insisted that he will love to repay the trust and belief the team has in him.
” I came here and after a week I got injured. I still didn’t know the names of all the players, so I knew the names of the physios before the players.
It sounds funny, but it was hard, one of the hardest things for me.
“Everyone is being very good to me, so much so that they talk to me as if I’ve been here for 10 years.
I want to have the opportunity to thank them for their trust in me and for that I hope to come back stronger if possible”, he told GSFN
