Kai Havertz and Mason Mount scored fine first-half goals as Chelsea won their first Premier League game since mid-October.
Mason Mount marked his 150th Chelsea start with a fine goal, but another injury scare marred a badly-needed victory for Reece James.
They did the work in the first half when Kai Havertz and Mason Mount scored reasonable goals, and the right-sided trio of Mount, Reece James, and Raheem Sterling caused all kinds of trouble.
Bournemouth was better in the second half without threatening to make a game of it. The only downside for Chelsea was another injury to James, who went off early in the second half; we don’t know how bad it is.
The win ended three successive Premier League losses and saw Chelsea reclaim the eighth place.
