The u-23 Dream team on Wednesday evening played out a 1-1 draw in a test game against shooting stars sports club of Ibadan (3sc) ahead of there qualifiers against Tanzania.
It was a well contested first half between the two teams with bulk of the chances coming for 3sc, but a resilient u-23 team were capable enough to stand formidable against the stars before half time. 3sc broke the deadlock in the 46th minute with a wonderful finish by Anthony Okachi, the 2nd half began with massive intensity as the Dream team was awarded a penalty kick in the 74th minute after Akanni Qudus of Remo stars was brought down in the box and was calmly converted to make it 1-1.
Speaking at half time the sport minister, Hon.Sunday Dare made it known that football is a national treasure and the u-23 must go out to make the country proud, the Minsiter also wished the u-17 women team all the best in there next game against the United State, The Minsiter also addressed the reports about IMC inauguration on Friday.

The u-23 Gaffer, coach Salisu Yusuf also spoke about the readiness of the team ahead of the qualifiers on Saturday.

The Olympic Eagles are expected to depart the shores of Nigeria on Thursday via Lagos to face Tanzania U23 team in the first leg of the U23 AFCON qualifiers on Saturday.
The return leg is slated for 29th October in Ibadan.
