UEFA Champions League continues on Wednesday as the Blues take on the Rossoneri in a Group E encounter.
Chelsea versus AC Milan
Time: 8.00 pm WAT
Venue: Stamford Bridge, London
This is a return for Fikayo Tomori and Olivier Giroud as they face their former side, Chelsea FC.
Chelsea manager Graham Potter would be looking to improve his side’s performance in this season’s UEFA Champions League as they take on an in-form AC Milan side who are unbeaten in this season’s UEFA Champions League.
It is a match-up between the group leaders, AC Milan, and the bottom of the group, Chelsea. AC Milan has four points from a possible six, while Chelsea has one point from two games.
Chelsea has only lost two of their 13 home European matches against Italian opponents (W8 D3), with both defeats coming in the UEFA Champions League: 1-2 vs Lazio in March 2000 and 0-1 vs Internazionale in March 2010.
AC Milan has won just one of their 20 away European matches in England (D7 L12), a 1-0 win at Old Trafford against Man Utd in February 2005. Their only other win in England (excluding Penalty Shootout) was in the 1963 European Cup final against Benfica, winning 2-1 at Wembley.
