Victor Osimhen might feature in Wednesday’s (today) UEFA Champions League clash against Ajax, according to Napoli manager Luciano Spalletti.
Osimhen got injured in Napoli’s UEFA Champions League clash against Liverpool on September 8.
The Nigeria international has missed Napoli’s last six games across all competitions following the injury and recovery.
The 23-year-old trained with his teammates for the first time since he sustained the injury on Monday.
Spalletti ascertained that the striker is in good shape ahead of the Champions League clash.
“ Victor is a strength of our team because he is a top player. He is working well and is ready to give his contribution,” Spalletti told a press conference on Tuesday.
”For us, Osimhen has to become another leader of this team. We are lucky because we have three forward with different characteristics that together make up the totality of the qualities that complete the department.” Spalletti added.
