Nigeria’s Super Eagles zoomed into the quarter-final of the 34th edition of the African Cup of Nations after a 2-0 win over Cameroon.
Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman was the hero for Nigeria as he was responsible for both goals.
It was defender Semi Ajayi who netted the opening goal in the 11th minute but VAR denied him the opportunity.
But Lookman scored a legitimate goal for Nigeria in the 36th minute with an assist from Victor Osimhen.
The skilful winger sealed the game in the 90th minute with the second goal and handed Nigeria a quarter-final ticket.
