Ahead of the Sahara Conference of the 2024 African Basketball League, the head coach of the APR of Rwanda Trakh Mazen is already envisaging a tough duel against Rivers Hoppers and other group opponents.
The Rwanda was drawn against tough opposition including Nigeria champions Rivers Hoppers, As Douanes, and the former champions US Monastir.
After a 10-day closed camping in Qatar, APR was involved in another friendly against Ittihad on Tuesday.
“We won one close game and lost another by a narrow margin. These matches provided valuable insights into the level of competition we can expect in BAL against Rivers Hoppers, Dounes, and Monastir
. If Al Ittihad is any indication, the competition will be fierce, with teams of this caliber,” he said.
