It was a day to forget for Nigeria’s representation of Remo Stars in the Confederation Cup as they crashed out of the competition on home soil.
After playing out a 1-1 draw away from home last weekend the hope of the team and fans was
sky high with a belief they will cross the hurdle at home.
But it was never meant to be as they suffered a 0-1 home loss to the Moroccan giant AS FAR the only goal of the match was scored in the 57th minute.
Remo was handed a big blow in the 10th minute Of the game as their key defender Issa Alli was replaced after he sustained an injury and his absence was largely felt throughout the game.
With the win, AS FAR progressed to the next round of the tournament with a 2-1 aggregate win.
