While Nigerians are still basking in the euphoria of the Flying Eagles’ 2-0 win over the Young Azzuris of Italy, the team head coach Ladan Bosso has dedicated the victory to the critics of the team and the federation.
Bosso and his boys suffered various attacks after their not-too-impressive performance in the 2023 U20 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.
Since the start of the World Cup in Argentina, the Nigerian side has shown tremendous improvement starting from the game against the Dominican Republic.
” We played the first game against a lowly-rated Dominican Republic, you saw what we did and the output of the players.
Nevertheless, it was an expected end because this first time most of these players are appearing at the World Cup.
Going further, Nigerians should expect a better performance from this team.
I dedicated this victory to Nigerians and to the critics of the federation.
We have seen Brazil, they came with strong good players but those players that have not played in the first two matches will have opportunities to play”, he said.
Brazil and Nigeria will come face to face in the throw group game slated for Saturday in La Plata.
