Former Nigeria Super Eagles defender Efe Ambrose has urged the coach of the Super Eagles Jose Peseiro to hand an invitation to 3 Flying Eagles players.
The Nigerian U20 team is already in the round of 16 of the ongoing U20 FIFA World Cup in Argentina and they are prepared to confront the host on Wednesday.
Former Celtic of Scotland defender listed Daniel Daga, Abel Ogwuche, and Benjamin Frederick as players Peseiro should consider for the upcoming 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Sierra Leone in June.
“At least three of them (Flying Eagles) should be in the squad.
It’s obvious and if I have to choose for him, I will choose the trio of Daniel Daga (midfielder), Benjamin Fredrick, and Abel Ogwuche (Defender). I left out the guard because he has already been called.
That’s what I also benefited from and it shaped my career,” he said.
Ambrose represented Nigeria at U20 in Canada in 2007 where the team crashed out in the quarter-final of the competition.
