Bournemouth was looking to get a win after they lost their last match to League leaders in the 97th minute and Liverpool was looking to continue from their big win against rival Manchester united.
The first game of GW27 saw Bournemouth get a win against Liverpool as they climbed up to 16th starting the game at rock bottom of the table. With Liverpool wasting a chance to close up on the top 4.
Liverpool started the match on a strong foot having Coady Gapko’s goal ruled out for offside. Liverpool was in control of the game until a swift counterattack saw Bournemouth take the lead in the 28th minute through Philip Billing.
Liverpool continue knocking on Bournemouth’s door and was fortunate enough to get a penalty after Diogo Jota head the ball unto Adam Smith’s arm. Salah stepped up to take the penalty and wasted a massive chance to get back on level terms.
The home side kept their cool and defended massively and they were rewarded with a win and three points.
