Even though he’s not having enough playing time, Nigeria’s Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has refused to regret his move to the English Championship club Watford FC.
Since moving to the Hornets the last winter, Okoye is yet to make his debut in the championship, his only appearance came in the league cup against MK Dons.
Okoye told Voetbal Primeur that is 100 per cent ready to compete for his position.
“I am still one hundred per cent behind my transfer because I did well in the Eredivisie and of course, I couldn’t stay at Sparta forever.
I just keep working hard and want to show myself. We hope to get promoted to the Premier League with Watford. That’s going to be difficult, but we keep believing in it”, he stated.
His absence is duly because of the new rules about the homegrown players in the championship.
