It was a sad Night for Nigerians as the Eagles of Mali beat the Super Eagles of Nigeria 2-0 on Tuesday night in Morocco.
In the fight of the Eagles, Nigeria super eagles suffered the loss courtesy of two goals in each half of the game.
E. Toure gave the Eagles of Mali the lead in the 18th minute before K. Doumbia sealed the victory in the 84th minute to give Mali the win in the friendly match.
The loss was the first for interim coach, George Finidi’s at the helms of affairs following the expiration of Jose Peseiro’s contract.
The interim manger Finidi Goerge won his first game in charge, a friendly on Friday, against the Black Stars of Ghana.
Following his side’s 2-1 defeat to Nigeria during the international friendly game, Ghana national team head coach, Otto Addo, says the Black Stars were unlucky against the Super Eagles.
It is left to be seen if the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will still keep faith in him as the coach of the Super eagles team.
