Day 2 of match 32 of the Nigeria Premier Football League went down on Saturday with two matches played across two centers.
At the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, it was a narrow win for Bendel Insurance against Heartland FC.
The first stanza of the game was keenly contested and it ended in a goalless affair.
Ismael Sarki was the saving grace for the Benin Arsenal as he netted the only goal of the game in the 83rd minute and ensured maximum points for the host.
In Gombe, Doma United was unable to break the hard-fighting Kwara United as the game ended goalless.
The Savannah Tigers were the better side from the blast of the whistle but the Afonja Warriors stood their ground, especially at the back, and nullified all the attacking threat of the host.
The rest of the games are slated for Sunday and Monday.
