With a few hours to the all important first leg of the U23 AFCON qualifier, the head of Media of the Guinea U-23 National team Sori Ibrahim has declared the readiness of his team to cause a major upset at the M.K.O Abiola Stadium on Wednesday when they file out against Nigeria in the crunch 1st leg of U23 AFCON qualifier in Abuja.
Sori made the statement while responding to questions from Journalists shortly after the team’s training on Tuesday night “this game is very important to us, our age grades category teams like U20 and U17 have been eliminated, this game is very capital for us and we are here to win the match”.
Nigeria and Guinea have both clashed twice at this level before with the head-to-head record at 1-1
The overall winner after the 2-legged qualifier will join 7 other African countries to compete at the 2023 U23 AFCON scheduled for Algeria later this year
