After helping Girondin Bordeaux to a comfortable win over Grenoble last weekend, Nigeria’s Super Eagles forward Josh Maja has set his sight on securing a promotion ticket to the Ligue One.
The burly attacker netted a brace to ensure an emphatic 3-0 win for the host and placed them in a pole position to be promoted.
Maja said if they get to win all their remaining games, their promotion is assured.
“We know that if we win every game, we will go up. It’s the mentality, we don’t think about the other teams.
You have to keep the same mindset, listen carefully to the coach and play with confidence. At home, we know that the supporters are with us.
So we have to start well and we have to use that to our advantage”, he said.
Maja has already scored 15 goals this season and Bordeaux is placed in the second position behind Le Havre.
