Thursday night football returns to the Tsirion Athlítiko Kentro Stadium in Cyprus when Omonia welcomes the Red Devils in a Group E encounter.
After the opening day losses by both clubs, United were able to get a 2 nil away win at Moldovan side FC Sheriff while Omonia are still winless after two games played.
Manchester United will want to bounce back from the defeat suffered at the hands of Manchester City by winning later tonight. United coach, Erik Ten Hag has also hinted that Cristiano Ronaldo who was unused during the Manchester derby will start today’s game.
Following Raphaël Varane’s injury, Ten Hag could only name five defenders in the travelling squad to Cyprus as a result of United’s growing injury list. He also highlighted the importance of the winning tonight’s game and promised to name a strong squad.
Omonia on the other hand have found it difficult to replicate their league form in the Europa League and they have only managed to score one goal and conceded five which has placed them at the bottom of the group. But Omonia can still fancy their chances against United because of their defensive frailties.
