On Saturday, Anthony Joshua fights Oleksandr Usyk live on Sky Sports Box Office to reclaim his title as heavyweight champion.
Joshua would reclaim the WBO, WBA, and IBF titles he lost to Usyk in September if he wins this rematch. Even so, he would not consider himself the best heavyweight in the world unless he faced Tyson Fury.
“With all due respect, this isn’t about Fury. That’s just my opinion. As things stand, you’re just a winner, at the end of the day. There’s always something new to learn.
“You’ll be challenged to prove you’re the best in the world until you retire. The moment you declare yourself to be the best, you should leave. That’s all there is to the Tyson Fury situation.”
He is completely focused on his rematch with Usyk. It’s been a long time coming for him.
