Shooting Stars SC on Sunday recorded their first-ever away win in the NPFL this season after securing a narrow win over Kwara United in one of the Match Day 12 played at the Ondo State sports complex, Akure
The game started very well for the away team, creating unconverted chances with Kwara United goalkeeper Dele Aiyenugba denying the away team a chance to break the deadlock.
The first half ended goalless, Shooting Stars had a chance to open the scoring in the 90th minute through a penalty kick but Sikiru Alimi missed from the spot.
Joshua Akpan ensured Shooting Stars would still go away with all maximum points by scoring in the additional minute of the game
It’s the 2nd time this season 3SC would avoid a defeat on the road after the 3-3 draw away to Plateau United earlier in the season
With the three points secured, 3SC now has 16points to climb to the 6th position on the Group A table
