Ahead of the kickoff of the Super 6 playoff, the technical adviser of Rivers United Stanley Eguma has confirmed that they will work hard to retain their title.
According to the draw released on Friday, the Pride of Rivers will face Sunshine Stars in their opening game slated for the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos.
While speaking on the draw, Eguma said they are not under pressure and they are well prepared to defend their title.
” We are not under any pressure because as the defending champions we expect tough opposition.
We knew a draw like this will come up that is we’ve prepared towards it.
Everybody wanted to beat the defending champions and win the trophy but we too will not relent, we will work hard to retain our title”, he said.
