Kwara United FC has confirmed they’ve fortified their squad ahead of the resumption of the NPFL for the second stanza with eight new players.
The Kabiru Dogo led side announced on the club’s Facebook page, the eight players are Yahaya Suleiman from Gombe United FC, Rasaq Alaji from Crown FC, Oginni Olatunbosun who joined from Wikki Tourists FC of Bauchi
Others are Kabiru Mohammed – Abia Warriors FC.
Azeez Lawal -Wikki Tourists FC
Suleiman Salihu Dogo- Wikki Tourists FC
Kenneth James Stars FC
Ayinde Kehinde- Ekranas Futbolo Klubas.
The 2023 Kwara State FA Champions will begin the journey towards redeeming their chances of making it to the Super Six, as they battle El-kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri at their newly adopted home ground, Akure Township Stadium, in the Matchday 10 of the NPFL on Sunday.
It will be recalled that Kwara United Football Club started the season in Ibadan following the ongoing re-grassing of the Main Bowl of the State Stadium Complex in Ilorin, winning just a game out of four home matches, losing one and drawing two.
The team is currently in the 8th position in Group A of the ongoing 2022/2023 Abridged League after the team ended the first round winning two matches, drawing three, and losing four, and with just nine points
