The proposed directive of the president of the World Soccer ruling body( FIFA) Gianni Infantino concerning the Brazilian football great is gradually yielding results.
The football supremo on Tuesday suggested that the 2011 member association should name at least one stadium in their country in honour of the late Edison Arantes Do Nascimento aka Pele.
The football great passed away last week after at the of 82 years of battling various old-age diseases.
The Cape Verde government through its Prime Minister Dr Ulisses Correa De Silva was first to react to the directive as he renamed the country’s 15,000 – seater stadium ‘Pele Stadium’.
